i woof a captain...

all things Janeway. so that can include 7 of 9, Kate Mulgrew, the Borg, sexuality, my general rantings and some fan fiction (to help stir the mind.) i also intentionally do not capitalize beginning of sentences, and my grammar is appalling. so if u form part of the grammar police, please do visit me sometime and be so kind to wear a nice uniform :-)

this is truly in my opinion the sexiest gif ever, EVER made of Janeway! Never in my life have I ever wanted to be a book like I do now!

"We lose ourselves in stories, but we also find ourselves in stories. Fan fiction isn’t just a way for us to gay-up straight characters (or sex-up gay characters); it’s an exercise in molding narratives that resonate with our unique life experiences. Fan fiction readers and writers aren’t waiting for networks and showrunners to hand them a beautiful bouquet of freshly picked roses. They’re planting their own gardens and fertilizing their own imaginations and pruning and weeding and growing something proud and strong. They may have borrowed the seeds, but the blossoms are all their own."

Happy Birthday Captain Janeway

(Source: thelightonlyshinesinthedark)

A VERY well written J/7 fanfiction. Warning though it is woof hot. Basically a PWP but with a plot? I’m sorry, but I have a HUGE admiration for people who can write sex-scenes well and tastefully. *tips hat at winged-mammal
I found Janeway POV and Seven POV spot on. (If such a scenario where cannon… *fans herself)

Some quotes to get u going:

“I’m the Captain, dammit, not a sex toy.”

“The incongruity of her calling me Captain while I’m driving her to the brink of orgasm is, I’m certain, entirely more arousing than Starfleet would ever approve of,…”

An Offer That Possibly Should Be Refused, But Really, Who Could?

[I find the shipper of Janeway and Seven being in a sexual relationship wrong only because Janeway is so much a mother to Seven and so it just feels like incest. I can’t see how other people can be ok with that.]

Oh my word. I will have to restrain myself hard on this one and try and stay as polite as I can. Here goes.
In no way is Seven underage. So to find it ‘wrong’ that they might be in love only makes you sound like a homophobe.
To go even deeper and say that not only is it wrong but kind of like incest is basically saying all woman that love each other are partaking in some sort of incest.
Maybe re-watch Voyager from season 4 onwards and notice how Janeway flirts with Seven. If my mother ever looked at me or talked to me in that way I’d be calling the authorities…
There defiantly was a very strong bond between Janeway and Seven. Some say it was a mentor/pupil, and that’s possible. Especially at the start. Some call it deep friendship, and that’s ok. Some of us see it as a friendship that developed into love. And that should be ok also. But calling it maternal is what’s completely wrong.

I am a devoted Trek fan fiction reader for many many moons. And I have never understood why some people need to label a certain ship as wrong. I don’t even label Tuvok/Neelix wrong… although it amuses me to think of it. So I have strong reaction to people saying it is wrong then a double reaction at the reasoning “because Janeway is like a mother” Stop this BS people once and for all.
